Just as a building’s exterior facade defines a city street, an interior facade defines the movement and energy of an indoor space. We use this technique to create striking visual landmarks within large, open-plan residential or commercial layouts. An intricately detailed interior facade can elegantly separate a dining area from a living room without completely blocking the views, or turn a massive corporate lobby into a series of welcoming, warm micro-environments. It provides a focal point that anchors the entire room’s decor, layout, and lighting scheme.
The Intersection of Light, Shadow, and Texture
An interior facade is a playground for light. By carving out recesses, creating layered material step-outs, or implementing textured 3D wall panelling, we design surfaces that capture both natural daylight and artificial architectural lighting beautifully. As the sun moves across your windows throughout the day, the shadows cast by the interior facade change, making the indoor environment feel alive and evolving. At night, integrated LED downlighters and hidden uplights illuminate the textures, turning a central wall into a living work of art.
